About us
Unique Cottage Studios is an arts & crafts facility, set in beautifuly converted farm buildings just outside Spalding.
Visitors can enjoy work created by a wide variety of artists and craftspeople in one space.
Please note not all studios are open to the public everyday - our artists travel far and wide teaching and attending art fairs and events. To make an appointment, please contact them directly; contact details can be found in the 'UCS Artists' menu.
The majority of our site has disabled access and we have disabled parking and toilets.
A wide variety of workshops and courses are available from our resident artists. These are complemented by courses run by our associate artists giving even more choice - something for everyone.
History
The buildings in which the studios are now located have had a variety of uses for many years – largely connected with agriculture and horticulture.
The area which is now an attractive courtyard has over the years housed many different animal, including sheep, cattle and occasionally pigs! The agricultural connection still continues with sheep still being kept in the adjacent building and fields.
The first major part of our renovation was opened in 2007 and we have been delighted with the progress so far and the positive feedback from visitors and resident artists- all who enjoy the peaceful and relaxed atmosphere.
The most recent development has been the rebuilding of this old cottage which now houses our café and gallery space, together with new studios.
